Picture books from our childhood - Louis

What is my favorite picture book? I would have to say my favorite picture book would be The Nickle Nackle Tree, due to its repetitive humour and funny ending. It involves a tree getting crowded with new species of birds until the tree falls and they all land in a heap. I like this book due to all the twists used in the sentences when describing the birds that were in the trees and the artwork used for the birds.

The reason this book means so much to me is due to it being the book I was read often while I was smaller. It was also read to my older siblings, and we all laughed when the tree in the book fell down because of the masses of birds that swarmed it.

Picture books should have as higher place as any in a library (not literal) but they would never be consider the 'better' books due to them generally being for children. In all picture books that I have read, I havent found any bad ones. Im guessing that's the publisher's fault that prevents bad picture books from being published, as why would they accept a story that isnt even exciting?

Picture books should be for all ages; making them only for juniors is out of the question, and I would be quite annoyed, as rare as I read them. If I were to write a picture book of my own, I have no idea what it would be about, but chances are, I wont be writing one when I grow up.
