Picture books from our childhood JD

I love picture books! I remember The Little Yellow Digger and Hairy Maclary/Scarface Claw series and how I would always read them, or get them read to me by my mum. Picture books belong in all librarys and lately I haven't been reading many, but I still like them. They are definitly not for juniors.

I admit there are quite a few bad picture books, such as those ones which use to much repitition, because it can get on my nerves. also if the illustrations are dull and grey. Books have to have a plotline, and picture books are no different.

Overall I love picture books, and am glad all these authors have gone to trouble of making them.
