Robotics - Mr T

Good morning boys - yesterday you had the second session of three for robotics with Mrs Hawthorne.  I saw a very happy class who were motivated, engaged, excited, and challenged (the perfect storm for a teacher...).  One thing that stood out for me was the interaction between boys (7s and 8s, quite a mix). What are your thoughts on doing robotics at school?  Is it new learning for you?  Is the equipment ideal for a class group?  What did you most enjoy about the session?  Why do you think we are offering this at Wellesley?  Would you like to 'push on' and do some more sessions maybe in T3?  What did you find easy?  What did you find hard?   Do you know about the various robotics competitions held in NZ and around the world? Whenever I see those cracking little Lego robots I can't help thinking about Bernard Beckett's novel Genesis - no spoiler here - you will have to wait until I read it to you in T3 and then you will understand.
