Green lights here we come...Mr T

Boys - we have 24 topics nailed down for our Independent Studies of 2013.  What a range!  I am very excited about this year because we have started the ball rolling early and I can see quite a few 'green lights' being given BEFORE the end of T1.  Year 8 boys are feeling very comfortable with the system we use and are proving to be great mentors towards the Year 7 boys.  The I.S. has now been running for 10 years in this classroom and I feel that, with the minor tweaks from year to year, it is a great learning opportunity.  What do you think of the topics?  How 'into' your topic are you?  What is your vision for your booklet and presentation at the end of the year?  If you had to pick another boy's topic, which one would you choose?  Which topic do you know the least about?  What would you change with the four 'prep' stages?  Do you think you are where you should be at this stage of the year?  What is the hardest thing about I.S.?  How do you think this piece of work will help you at college?
