Capital E Theatre Review

Yesterday we had a great opportunity to get out of the classroom and see some live theatre/music.  What a treat!  It got me thinking about a few things: 1. that there are some immensely talented people out there who make something very difficult look very simple (raw talent? - perhaps, practice? - definitely). 2. We all have likes and dislikes, preferences etc.  That is what makes the world go around. Variety is the spice of life...isn't it?  I was interested today to see where your WNB theatre reviews would take you and whether you stuck to the 'review my favourite' or would stick yourself out on a limb and criticise something.  That is hard to do but a skill worth nurturing.  Just like our Letters to the Editor, one of the points of this piece of writing is to write a real world review of a real world show which you had actually been to.  Do you read reviews?  Do you buy stuff or go to something based on  a review?  How damaging can a bad review be?  What do you think is the main thing to remember when writing a review.  Was there a show you would have liked to have seen with different seating?  Different venue?  Different order?  Seen with your family?
