Independent Study So Far So Good?-Luke E
The presentations have gone pretty well. I liked presenting and I'm glad that I've done that. The presentations are definitely of value, as it allows for an interaction between the presenter and the class about their topic. I liked Jin's presentation on Antibiotics and Rob's on the Vikings as my favourite. I think that maybe, if the presentations were more like long speeches(with props) it would show us the speaker's passion for their topic and be of more value. Though I'm not sure if that's practical. Do you think so? The presentations and the speeches turn out to be remarkably similar. Both use cue cards. Both rely a lot on the speaker's knowledge and memory. Also, people need to work to improve their voices while they're speaking, and not have a mumbling, boring or quiet voice.I think that if you are confident like I was and passionate, you can have a great, fun and valuable presentation.
