Week of art- george

Art week has been really fun for me. I was in the banners group with Ms Familton. I enjoyed the spread of juniors and seniors as we got to help the little ones with making their banners and writing about them. This is what I wrote about mine...

The Ravens Flight
My artwork is inspired by the now extinct New Zealand raven (Corvus Antipodes). It shows a New Zealand raven preparing to take flight, possibly the last one. Above there are three ravens already flying on an endless journey to safety from war. They symbolise seeking refuge from war and death. At the top a raven stands spread-eagled with two spears aimed at it, symbolising that the ravens are now extinct. By George Lethbridge

See if you can guess what mine is. Comment to give your thoughts
