The return of rhyme nad reason - Tim

I would rate 'The Phantom Tollbooth' 8/10 bananas. It is a great book with some ver silly things happening in it. It seems to lack bananas but I can forgive that because of the way it takes pretty much everything literally. I have definitely enjoyed it.

A book reaches classic status by (generally) being at least 5 years old (tick) a really good book (tick) and written by somebody with an obscure name that you don't know how to pronounce until somebody official looking says it with confidence. Then, you think that's how its pronounced untill someone else official looking pronounces it differently. (tick)

My favourite character is the Soundkeeper, because she is so obssesed with order that she removes all sound in the valley of sound so that bad sounds are gone, instead of simply removing bad sounds, or enforcing rules of which bad sounds are illegal, and the punishment would be that you cant make sound for so long or only being able to make banana sounds.
