NZ Playhouse- Nicholas

I think that rise of the appliances was a really good show and it tied in well with our performing arts session that was straight before. I actually thought the start was pretty funny the way it was purposefully unrealistic with the animal masks and the paper Stalin mask, I thought it was pretty funny too when they lampooned Dougal. But when they introduced themselves and the real thing started I got really hooked. I especially liked they way they kept the storyline the same, yet, it was completely different to the farm concept and was a modern version where the contestants were trapped on a TV show and there was an ad break for Totalitarianism dictators, now that was funny. Anyway as the show went on the acting was really good because they had to change characters quickly. I do think it was definitely age appropriate for 99% of the audience but maybe a couple of kids didn't understand. I liked the age approach because most other shows are a bit too childish for some children's liking.  So, all in all I'd give it a 8/10.
