My red hat thinking on debating is mainly positive because I really enjoy debating and I am happy with my debates moot (Animal Farms "Napoleon" is a good leader) we are the negative and we are me, Atharva and Hugo.
I really enjoyed the 1v1 and 2v2 debates because they kinda set the scene of what debating is. Deciding who went when was very easy for our team because Hugo wanted to go first I wanted to go second and Atharva wanted to go last. I actually don't fear my opponents because I think they are at an disadvantage.
Good morning boys. Let the debating battles begin! What is your 'red hat thinking' on what we are doing for debating in class? What excites you about the prospect of going toe to toe with another team of three? How did you enjoy the 1 v 1 mini and 2 v 2 mini debates? How do you feel about the moot point that your team has to deal with? Are you on the 'right' side in terms of your personal stance? What speaking role do you have and how easy was it for your team to decide who does what? How important do you think the writing and thinking process is to debating? What specific skills will you intend to 'bring to the table' on our debating day? How important do you think the skill of debating is in the whole wider scheme of schooling? What particular occupations go hand in hand with good debating skills? Who do you most fear in your opposition and for what reasons? I
