Good morning boys. We are currently enjoying Mark Haddon's highly acclaimed novel TCIOTDITN-T (long title, you know I love acronyms...). What is your 'red hat' thinking on this book? What are your thoughts on the leading character, Christopher Boone? What are the greatest challenges he is facing and why? If you had three words to sum up the style of this book what words would you use? How successful do you think Haddon is in giving us insight into someone who thinks, acts, and operates so differently from most people? Where do your sympathies lie? Which character? Despite initially playing our as a portrait of despair, how do you think the author will weave his magic and find a 'resolution'? How do you think Christopher would go if he was in your classroom, 7/8T?
