What is Humour-Anish
Humour is something that is funny and something that people will think all the time, like the book we are reading now, Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy(HGTTG), the whole book is full of humour and will continue till the end of the book, something else is when I was about to get a goal in football but a slipped over in the mud and it became a goal kick.

What is humour?-GusM
What is humour? A boring scientist would drone on about nerves and some random stuff about the brain, but that isn't very funny is it? No, humour is alot more than a bundle of nerves (even though it nearly certainly is), it is a lot of other weird stuff I can't explain. Humour itself is very diverse. Many people find different things humerous, such as a dad who thinks his jokes are hillarious, where as his son thinks his jokes are more out of date than oar powered ships.
Things that are humerous change over time as well. For example, a kid from the 2010's won't respond well to a joke made from a kid in the 1810's.

The Google definition for humour is, 'the quality of being amusing or comic, especially as expressed in literature or speech.' But I don't think that defines it too well. My view on humour is pretty much, if you find something humorous, you will instinctively laugh or smile (it's hard not to if it's good).
I think our comedy tastes hugely depends on your age. If you're 7, you find toilet talk funny, and as you grow older you become more mature and find other stuff humorous.
I find HGTTG absolutely hilarious, and I especially love the puns.

Humour is different for everyone some people will laugh at anything and some people hardly laug at all. It's all about finding the things that suit you. For me I like a lot of clever comedy and a lot of normal comedy as well. I don't like slapstick humor as it is a bit cheap and easy to me and anyone can pretend to get hurt. I think a lot of what influences peoples tastes in comedy is what they are brought up around. Lots of things I find funny were shown to me by my parents. Humor, to me, is vital for a happy life. If you don't laugh then things become boring and bleek. I find HGTTG very funny and the humor is clever but also sometimes just random. Comedy to me is one of the best things in the world and no one should stop laughing.

Humour is a funny thing. Someone may be splitting their sides with incredible amounts of laughter😂😂😂, and someone may be, in the same situation, sitting with a blank look on his face😐😐😐.
Laughter makes you live longer, but when you are laughing you are limited to few meagre tasks. I find HGTTG very funny, along with the majority of 7/8T. Personally I don't find the babel fish very funny, but that's my sense of humour.

some people will tell you that laughter is the best medicine and although there could be argument about it being the best medicine it certainly is good for you (unless you laugh too much in which case it can kill you (it has happened)) I do find the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy funny (although less so because I have read it twice previously. The babel fish is funny because of it's overall randomness.
here is a video that never seems to cease to be funny:

What is humor?
Humor maybe when Mr T reads HGTTG or it mabye when Ned falls of a pole and gets a massive bruise on his nose or it even maybe when Steve Smith tries to do a reverse sweep on 215 and gets out.
I do not find HGTTG very funny and and the same with the babel fish. I also think that 1970s hunor is different because
it is less mainstrean.

What is Humour?
To begin with, HGTTG (pronounced Hih-Gih-Ti-TIG-Gih), is a wonderful book. I have thoroughly enjoyed it, and it had a strange sense of humour, which of course makes sense, and it makes you laugh, but that doesn't stop it being strange.
The humour in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is fantastic, and it makes you think, and it provokes thought. That Man vs God argument was one such example.
God: I refuse to prove I exist, for proof means certainty, and certainty replaces faith. And without faith I am nothing.
Man: But the Babel Fish cannot have evolved naturally, which proves you exist, and therefore, you don't. You said it yourself.
God vanishes in a puff of smoke.
I found this hysterical.
Humour is strange. It's one of those things that have always been there, inside of us. I don't know why five people laugh and ten don't. I don't know why those ten laugh at something that isn't funny. Chances are, I'd grin slightly, but that'd be it...

What is funnys - Max
Funnys are silliness. Funnys are the unexpected. Funnys are anything that make you retch and gasp and constrict your windpipe in the bizarre phenomenon we call "laughter". Funnys are influenced by: idiots and intellectuals; books and movies; facts and puns, and so on. Laughter is either a rush of smile inducing drugs to your brain or an ache in your stomach, which lasts for several minutes. Funnys are the 3rd most important thing: 1st being, going to the toilet; The 2nd food and drink. The funnyest thing ever would be sdgfdgsdfdfsgasfhfsrjghsdfhfh ssrbntbayeravbg. I find the Heavyweight Gaming Tournament of Terrifying Gorillas to be very funny.

Humour is something that others find funny. When I was in year one anything including a toilet was considered hilarious. When I was in years 2-3 anything insulting was thought of as funny. Nowadays we find humour by looking on the Internet for Harry Potter Memes and creating random cults about books. Some boys also find saying ridiculous things like "banana" absolutely amazing. Humour is the ability to make people laugh, occasionally at your own expense.
What is humour
I am half half about our class book for this part of the term. I am not one of the deep belly laughers but do have the odd chuckle here and there. I have missed some parts of the book though I can still get the idea. What is humour I believe humour is something that makes people laugh but is also brightens the mood, or if someone is felling sad or down and joke or something funny can make them fell better. That is what i believe humour is.

I am enjoying the book. Although I do prefer different books it is nice to have a different one once in a while. I think humour is something that makes you laugh. I think what influences our comedy taste is what we are interested in and your age. When you were eight you would of found anything to to do with the toilet absolutely hilarious. I do find some stuff funny in HGTTG. I think the babel fish is funny because it is ridiculous. Noah

What is humour?
I, myself, snort snort am very funny.
Alright I'm not BUT STILL, there is funny stuff that HGTTG brings to the table. Like the Babel fish.
And, Marvin the depressed robot is a thing that happens at one point... I guess.
2015 humour is all about being MLG, not being a skrub and being great at CS:GO. In the 20th century, though, life was different, for humour was not about skrubs and/or quikscopes, but instead about something I have no idea about.
All in all, I do not play CS:GO.
cringe joke?
why you got to be darudeeeeee

I am really enjoying HHGTTG because of it's humour. HHGTTG wouldn't really be very good if it wasn't for the humour. For instance, the Vogon poetry. And generally the overall stupidity of the whole book. Really I don't think humour has changed much. Remember this. LOL.
What is humour? -Sam
Humour is something that is funny. People laugh at different things depending if they understand the humour or not. It shouldn't be very important to your life. I'm not sure what the funniest thing I have experienced is. I definitely find HGTTG funny especially the zebra crossing. I don't find the Babel fish funny. Humour from different years are different.
What is humour? - Mr T
Good morning boys. As you are obviously aware, we have just begun to read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and it has got me thinking... As I read this book to you every day I am acutely aware of different responses to the book's humour. I hear (and see) deep belly chuckles, smiles, and 'lightbulb moments', but I also see some blank faces, some boys more interested in (undercover) reading of their own, or just neutral expressions (which may or may not reveal anything at all). What is humour? Why do I not find Father Ted or Mrs Brown's Boys even remotely funny but laugh deeply at that old 70s episode of Fawlty Towers or Singer/Songwriter, Ryan Adams' 'fake encore' song? What influences our comedy tastes? What does laughter to the brain? How important is it to your life? What is the funniest thing you have ever seen/heard/experienced? Do you find HGTTG funny? How is the 'Babel fish' funny? In what way? Is 1970s humour different from 2015 humour? Different from 1920s humour?
